Bea is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Masters in Social Work from Colorado State University. Bea's counseling experience includes residential work with adolescents ranging from working in private treatment facilities to state-run programs. Her experience includes working with adolescents struggling with substance use, self-esteem issues, mood and anxiety disorders, major life transitions, LGBTQ issues, relationship issues, and high risk or criminal behaviors.
She also has her NASM-Certified Personal Trainer certification and incorporates holistic and experiential practices into her therapy. Bea uses techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as well as a strengths-focused approach within her therapy. She also served as a trainer for Motivational Interviewing while working for the State of Colorado in the Division of Youth Services.
While she is a proud Colorado native, Bea recently moved to San Antonio and is excited to be living in Texas. When she isn't in session, you can find Bea training for a half marathon, fishing, hiking, cooking, or playing with her dog, Leo.
