“If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know how amazing you can be”—Maya Angelou

Christal is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) with a Master of Science in Counseling and Guidance from Texas A&M University—Kingsville. After working for several nonprofit agencies and in multiple school districts that serviced at-risk youth and their families, Christal felt called to help others by giving them a voice and supporting them on their journeys to find freedom through therapy.

Christal uses a blend of person-centered and solution-focused modalities. As a therapist, she places great value on the uniqueness of each client she serves, understanding that they are the true expert of their stories and circumstances. In her free time, she enjoys poetry, live music, football, and spending time with her friends and family.

Christal is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision at St. Mary’s University. She is intensively trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy. She has found it useful in helping clients deal with varying levels of trauma, relationship issues, anxiety, and depression.
