Mr. Sanderson is a native of Texas and pursued his education at the University of Missouri (Mizzou) where he earned dual Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and English. During his time at Mizzou, he worked with the Mizzou football team as an assistant to the offensive coordinator.

Mr. Sanderson later worked as the School Support and Education Coordinator with a non-profit childrenʼs bereavement center in St. Louis. Here he went to schools providing therapy and was active in the schools around Ferguson, Missouri during the unrest in 2014.

Mr. Sanderson moved to Colorado where he worked at a dual-diagnosis residential treatment center as the assistant clinical director. His combined experience led him to join Dr. Howard and become the Managing Director of Innova Recovery. Mr. Sanderson has helped grow Innova Recovery into one of the leading trauma-based facilities in the United States.
