Nora became a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate after a career working in the academic library at Michigan State University.
After obtaining a Masters Degree in Counseling from Spring Arbor University, she moved to San Antonio to be closer to family.
The career move to assisting clients with their mental health was a natural one for Nora,
who finds joy in providing empathy and understanding to her clients,
along with using research proven strategies to assist them in improving their mental health.
Nora has obtained advanced training in trauma-informed mental healthcare,
including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) and Cognitive Processing Therapy,
both of which are considered among the best treatments for trauma.
Nora is also passionate about assisting clients with improving their sleep—a proven key to both physical and mental well-being.
When not assisting clients, Nora enjoys her daughters and their families, including five young grandchildren.
Life is full of weekly adventures exploring beautiful Texas, including hiking, bird watching and sketching.
