Our Intensive Outpatient (IOP) treatment offers the option of joining from the comfort and privacy of your own home on your smartphone or laptop. You will attend group meetings, with no more than 8-12 in a group , for three days a week. Typically, the program lasts 12 weeks, depending on individual progression. Our team will walk you from your initial phone call to having you join your first meeting, to ensure you always have support.
We understand that many men do not like the idea of attending “group therapy.” Our groups go far beyond any stereotypes. We cover topics that are most relevant to males using a format that is highly interactive and leaves out therapy jargon to get to the point. We offer support for maladaptive coping, such as with substances, sex or relationships. Communication skills are also covered as they are an integral component of relationship building. We strive to promote open dialogue between men who have similar experiences and want to adopt a more cohesive sense of self. Men leaving our program find they have less irritability, a greater understanding of how to deal with life’s stress and a more confident sense of self that isn’t based on their job or relationship status and doesn’t require alcohol or other means of coping to feel validated.
Innova has multiple women’s groups that host discussions related to trauma recovery. We understand that life’s circumstances can sometimes affect our relationships negatively. It can be hard to relate to others who have not had trauma and easy to feel isolated. Innova provides a virtual home where women can connect with other women, feel validated and encourage one another while learning skills that will leave you feeling more hopeful and able to deal with life’s stressors. Our goal is to provide support on your journey to recovery using a number of techniques and methods including Shame Resilience, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
Our teen years are some of the most formative years of our lives and can be increasingly stressful. Innova’s IOP for teens helps adolescents in forming healthy behavioral habits to practice on a regular basis. Additionally, our specially trained therapists provide coping mechanisms for each category of wellness, promoting optimal life success. We kick off each new group cycle with a hike to engage teens mentally and physically while helping them connect to one another, nature and their own inner strength.
Individuals can join these programs while seeing a therapist outside of Innova or we can match you up with one of our own experts!
Incorporating Brene Brown’s, individuals learn to work on labeling and fighting the effects of shame.
Helps individuals reevaluate harmful thoughts such as “I’m not safe” or “The world is not a safe place”.
DBT teaches individuals everyday skills to help deal with difficult emotions, situations and people.
Individuals learn how to deal with nightmares and other sleep issues that have been brought on by trauma.
Groups end with a guided meditation to help individuals relax, decompress and address pain stored in the body.
