Adolescence is a difficult time for anyone.
Add additional triggers and itʼs easy to overextend oneʼs natural coping resources. Individual therapy
can be helpful, but often once a week just is not enough to meet the needs of a struggling teen. Innovaʼs
IOP for teens meets teens where they are to provide them with the support they need to survive
adolescence.
IOP meets 3 evenings a week, after school, in times that are conducive to a teenage
schedule. Two days are virtual to minimize parental responsibility, while one day has an in-person option to add
socialization and interactive opportunities.
Graduates of our Teensʼ IOP have increased
communication skills, ability to handle stress, and greater emotion regulation, making them more prepared for
young adulthood.
Provides ways to identify shame, protect against its impact and move past it to
protect oneʼs sense of self-worth.
Offers practical life skills for dealing with emotions, setting boundaries, having difficult conversations and downregulating when life becomes overwhelming.
Looks at ways to identify healthy vs. toxic relationships, move past old patterns
and create a foundation for positive interactions.
